I am in a horrible place. I have been paying on my electric bill a little at a time. I was not recieving a bill due to computer problems at the company. I however continued to pay what I could. I just received a shut of notice for a little over $2000. I don't make that kind of money. I clean for a few people on my own. I only make about $700 a month. I have 2 young children and I am so scared that my electric will be shout off. I applied for emergency assistance through my local dhs. I was denied because my kids do not live with me 100% of the time. I have them 3 1/2 days a week. I know if I get my electric sut off, I won't be able to have my kids. I am trying so hard to be a good mom and take care of my bills. And now I am scared that I won't be able to provide. I am trying so hard and I feel I am failing my children. I do what I can. I am always looking for more work to be a better provider. It has been such a hard year, seperating from my husband, losing my income, not having my kids with me every single day. I need help and I don't know where else to turn. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
